You can now create a payment without debts! This is useful when you want to record a payment that doesn't involve any debts, such as a payment for a group expense that was paid for by a friend.
International date support for uploads!
The date format for uploads now supports international date formats. You can now upload expenses with dates in the format of DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, or YYYY/MM/DD. This makes it easier for you to upload expenses from your bank, credit card statements, or directly from Splitwise.
Revamped expense categorization live!
We've revamped the expense categorization feature to make it easier to categorize your expenses. There are now over 100+ detailed categories based on general personal finance needs and expectations. Notably, we've added new categories for travel, food, and entertainment expenses. We hope you enjoy this new feature and find it helpful in managing your expenses.
Archive groups to keep your data organized
Once you've completed all the expenses and payments in a group, you can now Archive it, to keep the group data and disable future edits. All group members will still be able to view the group and its expenses and payments, but it will be removed from your groups sidebar and only viewable in the Archived tab.
View detailed history of your card transaction refreshes
Syncing expenses from your card and bank accounts is a critical feature of SplitMyExpenses. We've added a new feature that allows you to view the detailed history of your card transaction refreshes. This feature will help you understand when your card transactions were last refreshed and if there were any issues, and if you need to re-link your account.
See expense changes over time with the new Activity log
All activity in SplitMyExpenses is saved in a history log, so you won't ever be confused when/why/who changed an expense, group, or payment username.
